Star Wars: Finn Wolfhard wants to play a young Ben Solo

January 29, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard would love to play a young Ben Solo in a future Star Wars project.

There is no question that Ben Solo is one of the most popular characters to come out of the sequel trilogy of Star Wars films. And although the character met his end in The Rise of Skywalker, whose to say Ben couldn’t return to our screens for a prequel?

If a young Ben Solo project does make it off the ground, an actor who would fit the bill is certainly Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, who bears quite the resemblance to a young Adam Driver. Wolfhard himself is a fan of the idea, even if he isn’t quite sure who runs Star Wars:

Speaking to GQ and answering a fan’s question about the subject, he said: “It is not just you, I would love to do that. But the series just ended. But, ya know, I’m a free agent, Marvel. And, Disney, I’m around. Marvel doesn’t handle any … well, it’s owned by Disney. Anyways, whatever, hire me.”

A prequel series, perhaps on Disney+, that showed Luke and Ben on Jedi adventures together could be pretty compelling. It would also give Lucasfilm a chance to flesh out Palpatine’s return on screen and explain some of the finer details of his and Snoke’s corruption of Ben. Is it something you’d like to see?
