Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier shuts down production in Prague over Coronavirus

March 11, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Another part of the entertainment industry has run into issues over coronavirus concerns as the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has reportedly sent home the crew from its shoot in Prague.

The Marvel series joins the rapid number of films, festivals, and concerts which have been put on hold due the coronavirus outbreak. The Hollywood Reporter broke the story of the Marvel series halting production in Prague, which came after the Czech Republic confirmed 40 cases of coronavirus and the shutting down of schools.

This news shouldn’t hurt production too much as Marvel shot the bulk of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in Atlanta. At the time of reporting, the show is still scheduled to premiere in August. The series which paits together both of Captain America’s sidekicks will be the first of several Marvel shows for Disney+, alongside the likes of WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
