World War II drama The Occupation gets a poster and trailer

A poster and trailer have arrived online for the upcoming WWII drama The Occupation ahead of its release later this month. Directed by Steven Oritt, the film tells the true story of Sara Goralnik (Zuzanna Surowy), a young Jewish girl who uses her Christian friend’s identity to find refuge in a small village after her entire family were killed by the Nazis; take a look here…

The Occupation tells the incredible true story of Sara Goralnik, a 13 year-old Polish Jew, whose entire family was killed by Nazis in September 1942. After a gruelling escape to the Ukrainian countryside, Sara steals her Christian best friend’s identity and finds refuge in a small village. Taken in by a farmer and his young wife, Sara soon discovers the dark secrets of her employers’ marriage, compounding the greatest secret she must strive to protect – her true identity.

The Occupation is set for a DVD and VOD release on March 30th.
