Sylvester Stallone’s original Guardians of the Galaxy team could still play a role in the MCU

April 30, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Sylvester Stallone and his team of original Guardians could feature in the MCU beyond their previous cameo says Michael Rosenbaum.

The MCU is known for its post-credits sequences and Easter eggs. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was stacked full of these and one of the best was certainly the appearance of Sylvester Stallone and his Guardians 3000 team.

Fans have been waiting for them to show up again ever since but could it happen? Well, Michael Rosenbaum, who played Martinex, told ComicBook.com, that the plan was for them to play a part in future MCU stories, as James Gunn told him “there’s a good chance you’re gonna come back.

“I think his plan is for us to come back so I just don’t know how. I think that was the plan all along…you’re going to see these guys in the end credits. Why bring Stallone on alone just to be in such a small part? You kind of want to see what he does, I mean I don’t know how you wouldn’t.”

SEE ALSO: The Guardians of the Galaxy were originally only going to cameo in Avengers: Infinity War

It would certainly feel like a shame not to see these characters again but has it been too long? Would you like to see them again? Perhaps in Vol.3? Let us know in the comments below and on social media @flickeringmyth…
