Get a close up look at Leia’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker lightsaber

August 13, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

Star Wars fans finally got to see Leia wielding her very own lightsaber in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this past December with the digitally-created flashback sequence of Leia training with her brother, the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, and now thanks to io9 we have a close-up look at the Princess’ lightsaber hilt design, along with the following description:

“Leia’s lightsaber is a work of art, defined by elegant symmetry and silver and gold hues that evoke Leia’s regal upbringing on Alderaan. Curved metal grips are spaced around the midsection surrounding a crystal heart that projects a blue blade. The narrow neck and ringed emitter of the saver bear similarities to those on Luke’s green-bladed lightsaber.”
