New gameplay trailer released for The Falconeer

October 2, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Wired Productions and indie developer Tomas Sala have released a new gameplay trailer for their open-world air combat game, The Falconeer.  The  Free & The Fallen gameplay trailer takes us for a flight over the world, from the highest peaks to the depths of a dark underworld, and reveals some of the rivals we will encounter when the game releases on 10th November on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC.

The Falconeer will take players on a flight through the skies of an awe-inspiring world upon the back of a giant bird of prey where they will weave in and out of floating structures and perilous obstacles and experience classic dog-fighting against a fantastic bestiary of enemies, including War Falcons, Weaver Dragons, Mantarays and Razorbeetles.

The world of the Great Ursee is one that is a near endless expanse of water, it is also home to many competing factions from the rich and powerful aboard their airships while the downtrodden and poor struggle for survival in the oceans.  Choose the faction to pledge allegiance to and shape the fate of the world.  These factions include:

  • The Northern Imperium – The greatest power on The Great Ursee and home to the Imperial throne. This faction uses nobility, subterfuge and manipulation as tools of power.
  • The Mancer Order – The master scholars of The Order control all access to technology across the Ursee.
  • The Civilian Freehouses – A loosely aligned group of independent communities united in defense of local trade and subject to the machinations of the Imperium and Mancer Order.
  • The Freebooter Rebellion – Outcasts banished to the dark places of the Ursee who now use dark and ancient knowledge to wreak havoc on their enemies.

Players will take part in fast, brutal combat with a variety of devastating ranged weaponry, and will be able to perform amazing acrobatic twists and turns as they take out enemies from the various factions fighting for control of the secrets that lay hidden at the Great Ursee’s sunken ocean depths.

Explore a world that exists both above the clouds, on the surface and below the waves where treasure, secrets and lost technology await discovery.

Take to the skies this November with The Falconeer.
