Warner Bros. is still committed to a December release for Wonder Woman 1984

October 30, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Warner Bros. has revealed that they are still committed to Wonder Woman 1984‘s Christmas release date.

With the global health crisis showing no sign of letting up, one might expect that Wonder Woman 1984 will be delayed again and miss its December release date.

However, WB is committed to the date for now and will reevaluate in the weeks ahead. Speaking to Variety, WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group chair-CEO Ann Sarnoff said that they will keep an eye on theatre conditions:

“It really is about how the U.S. continues to open, and whether there are any other surges. We’ve got a little bit of time to figure that out.”

Fans will certainly be hoping that conditions permit the film to be released and so will cinemas around the world. However, the way things are, it’s probably best to expect a delay to come the film’s way even with this latest commitment.
