Quintessa Swindell joins Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam as Cyclone

Quintessa Swindell looks to make a splash in the DCEU, joining Dwayne Johnson in the growing cast of Black Adam. Swindell, known for their role in Netflix’s Trinkets, will play Cyclone, a hero known for flight and wind manipulation.

Cyclone was recently teased at the DC Fandome event. She was shown in concept art alongside other members of the Justice Society of America: Atom Smasher, Hawkman, and Doctor Fate. Swindell joins Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Dwayne Johnson will tackle the titular role of Black Adam.

Quintessa Swindell is a non-binary actor and has yet to make it onto the big screen, although they are currently set to star in the upcoming films Voyagers and Granada Nights. The actor took to Instagram to celebrate the news:

Black Adam is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and stars Dwayne Johnson in the title role alongside Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge (The Invisible Man) as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi (Reverie) as Adrianna Tomaz and Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!) as The Wizard.
