Mark Hamill left speechless after praise from The Mandalorian co-star Ming-Na Wen

January 5, 2021 by Samuel Brace

Mark Hamill was left speechless after one of his co-stars on The Mandalorian sent some incredible words of praise and love his way.

Luke Skywalker turning up in the season two finale of The Mandalorian was a massive moment for the show, for Star Wars, and for the fans. The episode received praise from all corners and Mark Hamill couldn’t be happier that fans have responded so well to it.

Co-star Ming-Na Wen, who plays Fennec Shand on the show, was over the moon with it too and shared her joy at being able to share a scene with Hamill and Luke Skywalker on Twitter:

“You (& Luke) have been immensely inspirational & impactful to my childhood & as an adult. To have shared a scene with you in @themandalorian is truly one of the biggest highlight, not just in my career, but in my life. Thank you. Your fan always, Ming-Na aka Fennec.”

Hamill saw Wen’s tweet and it clearly had a big impact on him. He replied: “So this happened & I’m literally speechless, other than to say: the pleasure was all mine @MingNa!”

Wen clearly sees Luke the same way many Star Wars fans around the world do and, as a result, his appearance in The Mandalorian was a truly special occasion. Will we see Luke again in the show? Who knows for sure. But considering he has Grogu in his custody, one wouldn’t bet against it.

The Mandalorian season two sees the returning Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Bill Burr (Mayfield), and Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) joined by the likes of Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), and WWE Superstar Sasha Banks.
