Elizabeth Olsen says WandaVision is a “natural progression” into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

January 13, 2021 by Samuel Brace

WandaVision is a “natural progression” into what happens in Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness says star Elizabeth Olsen.

Elizabeth Olsen is the star of the upcoming WandaVision show on Disney+, reprising her MCU role of the Scarlet Witch. Olsen is keeping busy, however, as she will also be portraying the character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

According to Olsen in a recent interview with Good Morning America, the two projects tie together very neatly, which makes sense considering how strange WandaVision looks:

“There’s never much we can talk about in Marvel, but I do think WandaVision is a natural progression into what happens in Doctor Strange 2. I think Kevin Feige is doing a really amazing job intertwining the television format with the films so that we can tell more interesting stories moving forward.”

Perhaps the bizarre goings-on in WandaVision will have a deep connection to what will surely be a crazy adventure in the Doctor Strange sequel. Fans will certainly be on the lookout for any references to Doctor Strange once WandaVision debuts this Friday.

Marvel Studios’ captivating new series WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision is set to premiere January 15th, 2021, and features a cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Empire) as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn (Bad Moms) as Agnes.
