January 15, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Ben Affleck is teaming with Disney for an adaptation of Shannon Messenger’s bestselling fantasy book series Keeper of the Lost Cities.

The Keeper of the Lost Cities books follow Sophie, a 12-year-old girl with secret telepathic ability who she’s actually not human but is from another world that exists side-by-side with ours. Over 2.5 million copies of the books are currently in print.

Affleck is set to direct the movie adaptation and will also co-write the script with Kate Gritmon as well as producing through his Pearl Street production banner.
