The Walking Dead final season teaser reveals August premiere date

April 5, 2021 by Ricky Church

AMC has released a short teaser for the final season of The Walking Dead, showing Eugene in a very tense and precarious interrogation. The eleventh and final season of the hit series is set to premiere on August 22 after a lengthy production delay. Watch the teaser below…

Though this is the end of The Walking Dead, the franchise will continue through its spin-offs with Fear The Walking Dead and an upcoming show revolving around Carol and Daryl. There is also an event movie in the works that will feature the return of Andrew Lincoln’s main character Rick Grimes, picking up on his mysterious fate after Lincoln’s exit from the series.

Series creator Robert Kirkman teased the Rick Grimes movie recently, stating: “I think it’s gonna be a very different kind of Walking Dead story, which is really exciting. You know, when you’re doing something like this you have to make sure that it makes sense for it to be a movie. This isn’t just some kind of expansion of what you’re expecting from the show. This is something that’s gonna be very different but it’s gonna be the Rick Grimes that we all know and love.”

The Walking Dead will premiere its final season on August 22nd.
