The Avengers brace themselves for World War She-Hulk this July

April 17, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Marvel has announced that Jennifer Walters’ current journey is set to reach its pulse-pounding conclusion this July as the new story arc World War She-Hulk gets underway in the pages of Avengers #46.

Paying homage to the homage to the 2007 World War Hulk crossover event, World War-Hulk promises to stand on its own as a new pulse-pounding saga in the Hulk mythos and will see She-Hulk facing off against Red Guardian and the Winter Guard. Taking place after the events of Enter the Phoenix,  the Earth has become more fractured and volatile than ever, especially for the Avengers. Once She-Hulk is declared a global menace, Russia’s mightiest heroes, the Winter Guard, are tasked with bringing Jen to justice and face a fate no Hulk could hope to endure.

“When the Russian Winter Guard invade Avengers Mountain to arrest She-Hulk, it sets off a global espionage adventure that takes us from the notorious assassin training academy of the Red Room to an undersea kingdom on the verge of violent revolution,” said writer Jason Aaron. “Along the way, traitors will fall, regimes will crumble and the dark evolution of Jennifer Walters will reach its bloody red crescendo, all as we build toward the epic events of Avengers #50.”

World War She-Hulk will get underway in Avengers #46 on July 7th.
