Mortal Kombat: Generations webseries to debut in 2016, movie reboot still in the works

During a Twitter Q&A, director Garrett Warren has revealed that the webseries Mortal Kombat: Generations is set to arrive in 2016, with a first trailer coming early in the year.

Warren also went on to confirm that the planned big screen reboot of Mortal Kombat is still in the pipline.

@wilmert2 the film using good hands and will be made.

Mortal Kombat: Generations is the follow-up to Mortal Kombat: Legacy, and will star Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung, Haley Lu Richardson as Cassie Cage, Jade Quon/Jamal Duff as Ferra/Torr, Ray Park as Erron Black, Booboo Stewart as Takeda, Lewis Tan as Kung Jin and Ron Yuan as Hanzo Hasashi.
