Bridgerton season 2 set for March premiere on Netflix

December 29, 2021 by Ricky Church

As Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton celebrates its first anniversary, the streamer has announced in a new video the second season’s premiere date. Featuring the Bridgerton cast, including the season’s new leads Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, they reveal that the series will return on March 25th, 2022. Watch the announcement video below…

The second season of Bridgerton will follow Bailey’s Anthony Bridgerton as he meets Ashley’s Kate Sharma, beginning their own romantic journey in London’s scandalous high society. The series was a huge hit for Netflix when it premiered in December 2020 and has already been renewed for a third and fourth season. Each new season will follow a different member of of the Bridgerton family and their own quests for love.

Joining the second season is Charithra Chandran (Alex Rider), Shelley Conn (Liar), Calam Lynch (Benediction) and Rupert Young (The Secret Garden). While Bridgerton‘s breakout star Regé-Jean Page will not return for the second season, Phoebe Dynevor is said to be reprising her role as Anthony’s sister Daphne for at least a small part of the season.

Based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling series of novels, spanning from 2000 to 2013, this smart feminist take on Regency England romance unveils the glittering, wealthy, sexual, painful, funny, and sometimes lonely lives of the women and men in London’s high society marriage mart as told through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family.

The series is set in the world of Regency London high society, unveiling a seductive and sumptuous world composed of intricate rules and dramatic power struggles, in which no one is ever on steady ground. At the center of it all is the funny, witting and clever Bridgerton family, comprised of eight siblings who must navigate the upper ten-thousands’ marriage mart in search of romance, adventure, and love.

Bridgerton Season 2 will premiere March 25th, 2022.
