With Netflix’s license for its Marvel TV shows now expired, Disney has announced that it will be expanding its Marvel Collection on Disney+ by bringing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher and The Defenders to the streaming service this month.
The Netflix shows will arrive on Disney+ in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand on March 16th, and will be available across all other Disney+ markets later in the year. Meanwhile, the ABC series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will also be added to Disney+ in the States.
There’s no indication from the official Disney+ press release whether any of the more mature content from Netflix shows will be edited or cut to fit the family-friendly Disney+ brand, but we have reached out to Disney for clarification and will update the post if we get confirmation either way.
