Netflix’s Damsel adds Robin Wright, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Ray Winstone and Brooke Carter

April 15, 2022 by Ricky Church

Hot on the heels of the casting of Angela Bassett, Netflix’s fantasy film Damsel starring Millie Bobby Brown has filled several roles. According to Deadline, Robin Wright (House of Cards), Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), Ray Winstone (Black Widow) and Brooke Carter (The Alienist) have all joined the film.

Damsel follows Stranger Things star Brown’s Princess Elodie, who “is shocked to discover that she’ll be sacrificed to the kingdom’s sacred cave dragon, after being married to her prince charming. She must survive long enough until someone comes to save her – only no one is coming.”

Bassett will play Elodie’s stepmother, but there’s no word yet as to who any of the new additions are playing.

Damsel will be directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) from a script by Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans), while Brown also executive produces through her PCMA Productions company.
