Snowpiercer grinding to a halt after upcoming fourth season on TNT

June 20, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that TNT’s Snowpiercer is set to grind to a halt, with the post-apocalyptic drama series coming to an end following its upcoming fourth season.

“We can confirm thatSnowpiercer will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT,” reads a statement from the network. “Its talented writers, actors and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”

Based on director Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed 2013 film of the same name, itself an adaptation of the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, Snowpiercer takes place on board an enormous, perpetually moving train which has become home to the survivors of mankind on a now-desolate and frozen Earth.

Snowpiercer features a cast that includes, Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Rowan Blanchard and Roberto Urbina, while Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov are set to board the show for its fourth and now final season. As yet, there’s no word on a premiere date.
