New trailer for The Idol starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd

HBO Max has released a new teaser trailer for The Idol, the upcoming drama series from Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye which stars Lily-Rose Depp as a rising popstar who begins a complicated relationship with the leader of a modern-day cult (The Weeknd); watch it below…

A self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult enters a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol. From the sick and twisted minds of Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, who stars alongside Lily-Rose Depp, comes The Idol.

The Idol features a cast that includes Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Lily-Rose Depp, Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria. 

The Idol is coming soon to HBO Max.
