Terrifier 3 will have a bigger budget and promises to be “another boundary-pushing addition”

June 1, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Terrifier 3 promises to terrify horror fans with an even wilder experience. The Coven launches the world sales for the third installment in the Terrifier franchise, with writer-director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone returning for more scares.

Deadline notes little is known about the project, but “David Howard Thornton (who plays Art The Clown) and Lauren LaVera (Sienna) are among the cast expected to return.”

Production will begin this November or December, and Deadline reports the budget will hit the “low-mid seven-figure range,” a significant increase from the previous installments.

Priscilla Smith of France-based distribution outfit The Coven said: “There will be a much bigger budget this time around, which is intended to give the filmmakers more creative freedom and let them be as wild as they can be. And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year.”

Leone adds, “Terrifier 3 will be another boundary-pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate. If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Deadline notes Terrifier 3 is set for release in late 2024.
