G.I. Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle announced by Renegade Game Studios

August 8, 2023 by Gary Collinson

If there’s one thing the G.I. Joe franchise has lacked over the years – okay, well two things, after a solid live-action movie – it’s a video game that’s made good use of the license and the vast number of iconic characters and vehicles synonymous with the beloved toy line.

Well, that may be about to change, as Renegade Game Studios has announced the upcoming video game G.I. Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle, which will make use of Hasbro’s Axis & Allies gameplay engine and allow players to assume command of the Joes or Cobra for strategic Arctic warfare.

According to the official release, Battle for the Arctic will include over 110 figures, including the Snow Cat, W.O.L.F., Skystriker, and Rattler, along with strategic options such as making use of the Weather Dominator to block pathways or create land bridges for your forces.

“G.I. JOE was the perfect fit for our new line of games powered by Axis & Allies,” states Renegade president and publisher at Renegade Game Studios . Now fans of wargames and the world’s ultimate fighting force can come together for an epic experience.

G.I. Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle is slated for release in 2024.
