The Walking Dead: Betrayal is free to play in Early Access this weekend

September 15, 2023 by Andrew Newton

Skybound Entertainment and Other Ocean Interactive’s third person action game The Walking Dead: Betrayal is now in Early Access and until 18th September will be free to play for those wanting to try before they buy.  A new trailer can be seen below showing the co-operation, treachery and deceit that players can look forward to…

The Walking Dead: Betrayal is a third person action game for up to 8 players where players will need to cooperate in order to complete objectives and make an escape from the approaching herd of walkers. Objectives need to be completed quickly as the walkers aren’t the only threat to the group as traitors hide in plain sight doing everything they can to hamper the group’s progress.  Traitors can do a number of things to sabotage the team, including making noises to lure in zombies, poisoning food and even murder.

Whether killed by the traitor or simply by their actions it is still possible to seek revenge on those who deceived the group by teleporting between walkers to lure them near the one who betrayed you, or even just near the group as a whole.

The Walking Dead: Betrayal is free to play until 18th September and is available to purchase with a 10% discount from Steam until 21st September.  Players who purchase the game during Early Access will receive the Rick Grimes skin.
