Netflix has released the first trailer for Sister Death, the upcoming prequel to director Paco Plaza’s 2017 Spanish horror Veronica, ahead of its world premiere at the Sitges Film Festival on October 5th.
Set in post-war Spain, the film centres on a young novice nun (Aria Bedmar) with supernatural gifts as she becomes plagued by a disturbing presence and strange events after she takes a job teaching girls in a former convent. Watch the trailer below…
In post-war Spain, Narcisa (Aria Bedmar), a young novice with supernatural powers, arrives at a former convent, now a school for girls, to become a teacher. As the days go by, the strange events and increasingly disturbing situations that torment her will eventually lead her to unravel the terrible skein of secrets that surround the convent and haunt its inhabitants.
Sister Death arrives on Netflix on October 27th.
