Seth MacFarlane’s Ted prequel series drops first look teaser trailer

November 16, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Peacock has released a teaser-trailer for their highly-anticipated prequel series to Ted, which is set years before the $750 million grossing blockbuster films featuring the Seth MacFarlane voiced cuddy toy with a penchant for profanity.

Joining Family Guy creator MacFarlane, who returns to voice the titular teddy bear, are series regulars Giorgia Whigham, Max Burkholder, and Scott Grimes. As well as voicing Ted, MacFarlane also directs, writes, and acts as co-showrunner for the seven-episode series, alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. Check out the teaser below…

In this comedic prequel event series to the Ted films, it’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.

Ted premieres on Peacock on January 11th, 2024.
