Hirokazu Kore-Eda’s critically acclaimed Monster gets a UK poster and trailer from Picturehouse

January 26, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Picturehouse Entertainment has released the U.K trailer for Broker and Shoplifters director Hirokazu Kore-Eda’s latest, Monster, which won the Queer Award and Best Screenplay Award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and was given the highest marks possible in our own ★★★★★ review (which you can read here).

With an unforgettable score from the late Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, Monster stars Sakura Ando, Eita Nagayama, Soya Kurokawa, Hinata Hiiragi, Mitsuki Takahata, Akihiro Kakuta, Shidô Nakamura, and Yûko Tanaka. Check out the trailer below…

When her young son Minato starts to behave strangely, single mother Saori knows that there is something wrong. Discovering that one of his teachers might be responsible, she storms into the school demanding answers. But as the story unfolds through the eyes of mother, teacher and child, shocking truths begin to emerge.

Monster is exclusively in cinemas from March 15th, 2024.
