Kristen Stewart says her and Robert Pattinson “can’t just keep talking” about Twilight

February 16, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Kristen Stewart’s career is so far removed from her Twilight days, but that still doesn’t stop the iconic vampire love franchise from reappearing throughout the years.

Twilight and her work in the films were brought up in a recent spread with Rolling Stone. She went on to discuss her acting and working with her equally well-known co-star.

She addresses her approach to Bella Swan, which she says was an attempt to stay closer to the book while the studio execs wanted something more cheerful and perky.

“The studio was trying to make a movie for kids,” Stewart said. “They didn’t want what actually was the book. When the fuck are [Bella and Edward] smiling, ever?”

The conversation turned to her former co-star Robert Pattinson, who she says shares an equal struggle with dealing with the franchise these days. “Rob and I can’t just keep talking about that shit because it’s fucking weird,” Stewart said. “It’s like if someone kept asking you — I mean for literally decades — ‘But senior year in high school?’ You’re like, ‘Fucking A, man! I don’t know!'”

Check out Stewart’s Rolling Stone cover and full interview below…
