Lunar Lander Beyond Deluxe Steelbook available to pre-order now

April 17, 2024 by Andrew Newton

With the PC and console launch of the narrative-driven space adventure Lunar Lander Beyond just around the corner (23rd April), Atari has announced that the Deluxe Steelbook edition of the game is now available for pre-order.  Physical editions of this will be available for collection on 26th April.

The Deluxe Steelbook edition is available from retailers and Atari.com and will include a physical collector’s box, steel book and an exclusive game art guide replete with removable posters.

Based on the 1979 Atari 2600 classic Lunar Lander, this long overdo sequel will blend the simple arcade origins of the classic with a narrative-rich storyline and a universe where nothing is as it seems.

In Lunar Lander Beyond players become the captain of their own spaceship and have the opportunity to guide their crew of explorers and advisors through numerous missions involving the extraction and delivering of cargo across a variety of moons and planets. Ship captains will encounter mysterious portals in starfields and be able to uncover the sinister secrets they hide.

Featuring:

  • 30 daring missions across five moons and planets – Nueva Luna, Mars, Venus, Ganymede and the mystery realm of Etimus.
  • Dreams Uncorporated’s opulent sci-fi vistas crafted in their signature hand-drawn style.
  • Procedurally generated characters with unique attributes to select from.
  • Choose one of four different spaceships and customise them with dozens of enhancements.
  • Four different difficulty levels, with an ‘Insane’ level that the truly masochistic will enjoy.

Pre-orders are available now and physical editions will be available on 26th April.
