First poster and images for crime thriller Dead Before They Wake

April 26, 2024 by Gary Collinson

Having been picked up for sales by Strive Global Media/Fabrication Films at the upcoming Marche du Film in Cannes next month, Shepka Productions has unveiled the first poster and images for Dead Before They Wake, a gritty British crime thriller following a nightclub doorman who finds himself drawn into Glasgow’s seedy underbelly when he’s hired to find a missing teenage girl.

Written and directed by Nathan Shepka and Andy Crane (directors of the upcoming The Baby in the Basket!), the film stars Nathan Shepka (Lock & Load, When Darkness Falls) alongside Grace Cordell (Cara), Manjot Sumal (Scot Squad, The Last Bus), Kareem Nasif (The Job) with Doctor Who legend Sylvester McCoy (The Hobbit, The Munsters) and Patrick Bergin (Patriot Games, The Continental).

DEAD BEFORE THEY WAKE is inspired by a true story surrounding the recent sex trafficking scandals that rocked the UK press. The film follows nightclub bouncer Alex (Shepka) who is hired by a retired lawyer (McCoy) to track down a missing girl, suspected of being snared by a trafficking ring and bring her home no matter what it takes.

Dead Before They Wake is coming soon.
