The Stairway 7 trailer teases looping horror with a cat

May 15, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Get ready for horror this Friday (May 17th) when developer Steelkrill Studio release their bone-chilling anomaly hunt loop title, The Stairway 7, onto PC via Steam.  Enter the game’s nightmarish loop, test the limits of your character’s sanity and enjoy the ginger cat…

In The Stairway 7, players take the role of a poor soul trapped in a supernatural structure called ‘The Stairway’ and the only way out is by climbing the stairs to the exit. Players will need to confront their fears and test their resolve and observation skills if they are to survive.

Players will journey up an ever-changing staircase where anomalies and malevolent forces dwell, these will follow players up the stairwell and failure to get rid of them can lead to loops and death.  Players will need to scan and memorise their surroundings as any flickering light or shadowy figure could end their journey.

Anomalies take many forms and if one is detected then it will be necessary to go back downstairs to banish them but be careful, for the further down the stair well players go, the more twisted and dangerous the environment will become. Some will try to blend into their surroundings while others will harm the player. Fortunately, there medicines that can heal, providing you look closely enough.

The Stairway 7 arrives on 17th May on Steam.
