Last month we heard the news SNL veteran and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg would be teaming up with Scream VI directors Radio Silence on an action comedy. Now, per Deadline, the film has been revealed to be called The Robots Go Crazy and has been picked up by Amazon MGM.
Plot details for the film are unknown, but it will be an action comedy that Samberg will star in as well as produce alongside Radio Silence. Writing the script is Andrew Lanham (Just Mercy), who will also executive produce.
Samberg will produce with Ali Bell, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone through their company Party Over Here. Also producing are Radio Silence’s Chad Villella and Jon Silk for Silk Mass.
