Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II announced with trailer

May 24, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios have announced they will be bringing Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II to Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and Windows PC.  This sequel to the critically acclaimed turn-based tactical game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe was announced at this year’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase and will bring the dreaded Necrons to the attention of the Adeptus Mechanicus.  Watch the new announcement trailer below…

Throughout the Warhammer 40,000 universe are Tomb Worlds, dead planets where the ancient Necrons slumber. In Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II the Adeptus Mechanicus has arrived on one of these worlds and disturbed Vargard Nefershah from her millennia long slumber.  Now she is mobilising the legions of Necrons against the human interlopers while the Adeptus Mechanicus summon Magos Dominus Faustinius to coordinate the fight back.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II will not only allow players to battle as the Adeptus Mechanicus but also as the Necron horde fighting to regain their dynasty.  Both sides will each have their own campaign.  Regardless of which side is chosen, players will be required to manage their territories, assemble their forces from a large selection of troops and lead them to battle.

Once again, the Warhammer 40K universe will be brought to life with awe-inspiring music and audio design by composer Guillaume David and with writing from Black Library author Ben Counter.

Look out for more news for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II coming in the future.
