Amy Adams to star in TV adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s Sharp Objects

February 20, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Entertainment One is shopping around a drama series package based on Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn’s debut thriller Sharp Objects, which has Amy Adams (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) attached to star.

Sharp Objects “centers on reporter Camille Preaker (Adams) who, fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, is sent to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls where she has to reconnect with her estranged mother and half-sister.”

The project will be directed by Jean-Marc Vallee (Wild), with Marti Noxon (UnReal) serving as showrunner and Jason Blum (Sinister) executive prodcuing.
