Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed gets gameplay trailer

September 13, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Outright Games has released a new trailer for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed providing Turtles fans with an exciting look at the gameplay.  In this new trailer (see below) fans will see action-packed fights as our half-shell heroes take on the rising Mewbie threat in New York City.

In the new gameplay trailer, viewers will get to see the acclaimed 3D-meets-2D art style of the movie, while fan-favourite character April O’Neil narrates in the style of her news casts.  Turtles fans will also get to see some of the all-new original mutants and their difficulty-enhancing mutations that they will encounter in the game.  The trailer also provides a feel for the expansive New York environments where the action will take place, including skyscrapers, the sewers and pizza parlours.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed continues the story of Paramount Pictures’ 2023 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and sees everyone’s favourite hero turtles battle through New York’s rising Mewbie chaos in an original storyline.

Players will get to fight as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo as well as meet a host of familiar faces, including Master Splinter, April, Bebop, Rocksteady and more.  Each of the TMNT have their own unique combat playstyle and their abilities improved by collecting XP and using them on a powerful new skill tree.

There’s a wide array of collectibles to discover that have been hidden around the city and players will be able to skate through the streets, grind on rails, and zipline between buildings as any of the four hero brothers through a detailed city with a dynamic night and day cycle to hunt them down and collect them all.

Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games said: “With 2024 marking the 40th anniversary of this incredible franchise, it has been a pleasure to work with Paramount Games Studio to bring this extraordinary world to life. We hope this new gameplay trailer will wet the appetite of TMNT fans old and new!”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Steam on 18th October.
