The Karate Kid: Street Rumble crane kicks its way onto PC and consoles

September 20, 2024 by Andrew Newton

From today, players can relive the days of The Karate Kid trilogy in pixel-art, retro-styled glory as GameMill Entertainment release The Karate Kid: Street Rumble on PC and consoles. With iconic locations from the first three The Karate Kid movies, The Karate Kid: Street Rumble will have players taking on the enemies of Miyagi-Do Karate.  Watch the game’s new trailer below…

With The Karate Kid: Street Rumble go back to the 1980s and journey through the streets of San Fernando Valley and Okinawa taking on waves of enemies in a side-scrolling beat-em-up adventure.  Travel through 12 intense levels inspired by the films, including Topanga Beach, West Valley High, Cobra Kai Dojo and the All valley Tournament arena.

Play as Daniel LaRusso, Mr. Miyagi, Ali Mills or Kumiko and use the karate skills taught by Mr Miyagi to take on familiar villains such as Johnny Lawrence, John Kreese, Terry Silver and others who are intent on beating Miyagi-Do Karate.  Players will master martial arts skills and defeat their enemies all to a vibrant chiptune soundtrack.

The game features:

  • Fight through 12 locations inspired by those in The Karate Kid trilogy.
  • Experience the adventures of the original films while taking on the challenges of Cobra Kai and other powerful enemies.
  • Wax on and wax off through a stunning pixel-art world in the style of 16-bit games.
  • Enjoy a rip-roaring chiptune soundtrack that captures the game’s spirit.
  • Perform powerful combos and signature moves to defend against the enemies’ relentless attacks.
  • Take on opponents from the films, including Johnny Lawrence, John Kreese and Terry Silver.
  • Fight alongside friends in local co-op.

The Karate Kid: Street Rumble is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
