The Night Agent Season 2 gets a trailer and release date

November 14, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Netflix has released the first teaser for the sophomore season of their smash-hit action series The Night Agent.

From Shawn Ryan, producer of The Shield, The Night Agent is based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, and stars Gabriel Basso (The Kings of Summer) as a low-level FBI agent who works nights in the basement of the White House manning a phone line for undercover spies that never rings, until one day it does, triggering a chain of events that leads all the way to the Oval Office.

The first season was 2023’s most watched show of that year by views, and the seventh most-watched English language TV show in Netflix’s history with 98.2 million total views. The second season finds Basso’s hero elevated to Night Agent, a promotion that comes with even more danger and duplicity. Check out the teaser below…

Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose efforts to save The President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.
