Deadline is reporting that a feature film adaptation of the Stephen King short story Autopsy Room Four is in the works from British writer-director Ranjeet S. Marwa (Doll Face, Dig Me No Grave) and producer Jon Levin (In the Tall Grass).
First published in 1997 and collected in 2002’s Everything Eventual, Autopsy Room Four “delves into the mind of a man who, after a life-threatening accident, wakes up to find himself trapped in an autopsy room. As he confronts his own mortality, the story navigates themes of fear, survival, and the unknown.”

As per Deadline, King has officially given the go ahead to the adaptation of the short story, which was previously adapted for the small screen as part of the 2006 miniseries Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King. The project is now in early development.
