Christmas comes to World of Warships: Legends

December 17, 2024 by Andrew Newton

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for players of World of Warships: Legends as the Winter Fleet returns, bringing with it new premium ships, a treat-filled advent calendar, a classic campaign featuring a Legendary cruiser, and much more.  Watch the new trailer below for more details…

This festive season, World of Warships: Legends players can participate in a brand-new campaign, titled ‘The Best Form of Defence’, to earn the British Legendary Tier cruiser HMS Defence.  This new campaign runs across the next six weeks and challenges those with Admiralty Backing to complete 100 milestones if they want to claim this vessel.  The HMS Defence is equipped with 356 mm guns, powerful torpedoes and Repair Party to strengthen her hit points in combat.

The Winter Fleet sees the arrival of three Premium winter versions of existing ships, these include the Pan-European Tier VII destroyer Östergötland, U.S. Tier VI cruiser New Orleans and U.S. Tier VII battleship Constellation.  There are also a variety of other vessels from previous years available.  For those diligent enough to complete the new Shipbuilding Collection, there’s the winter version of British Tier III aircraft carrier Hermes.

To see out 2024, World of Warships: Legends are celebrating with a cyberpunk theme and the Italian battleship Ruggiero di Lauria and Soviet cruiser Dimitry Pozharsky will take centre stage for the new year.

Players are also able to access special Commander guises and an all-new Advent Calendar packed to the brim with rewards and an additional cyberpunk-themed Commander guise.  Finally, the update will also bring three new seasons of Ranked battles and three more seasons of Brawl, also offering a variety of rewards.

World of Warships: Legends is teaming up with World of Tanks: Modern Armour to bring the new free ‘United Force’ DLC.  This new DLC includes Premium vehicles for players across both games with the French Tier II Premium destroyer Enseigne Gabolde coming to World of Warships: Legends and the British Tier V Premium heavy tank Excelsior for World of Tanks: Modern Armour.  The latter also features a new Winter Fest special event that lets players use toy tanks to battle the Ice Queen and Yetis to save the North Pole.

Log in to World of Warships: Legends now and join in the festive fun.
