January 31, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

With less than a month to go until Running Point lands on Netflix, the streamer has released a trailer for the Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, Elaine Ko and David Stassen-created comedy series.

Kate Hudson stars as Isla, a woman who is appointed as the president of her family’s business, the professional basketball team the Los Angeles Waves, when her brother is forced to resign after entering rehab.

Joining Hudson in the cast are Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Jay Ellis, and Max Greenfield. Watch the trailer below…

When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job.

Running Point arrives on Netflix on February 27th.
