HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT release date announced with new trailer

February 18, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Arc System Works has announced that their long awaited HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT will be arriving on Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC on 17th July.  Fans of the iconic manga and anime series by Yoshihiro Togashi will be able to buy a physical edition of the game for consoles with pre-orders available now.  A new trailer has been released and can be seen below….

This first fighting game for the hit franchise is a 3v3 fighting game featuring 16 characters (when the game first launches), which have been taken from the various arcs of the 2011 anime adaptation of the series.  Each character will have their own unique styles and powerful abilities that players will be able to discover as they play.  Players will be able to create their dream team of characters and battle against their opponents.

The game will feature several gameplay modes for players to experience, including a training mode, Free Battle – allowing players to battle friends via couch play or against the CPU, Single Mode and Story Mode.  The Single Mode will provide a series of challenges against the CPU in the ‘Sky Arena’ and get players mastering combos in ‘Combo Trial’. The Story Mode will provide players with the opportunity to relive fan-favourite scenes from the 2011 anime.  Both of these modes will allow players to collect Titles, Profile Icons and Greed Island Cards.

There are also a selection of online modes, such as casual Player Matches for fun with others around the world, or Ranked Matches – where players can challenge each other to score as high as possible and gain Rank Points.  Both modes will also enable players to collect Greed Island Cards.

A new DLC will be arriving after launch featuring Nephelpito from the Chimera Ants arc.  Players will gain this character by purchasing the DLC separately or by buying the Deluxe version of the game.

Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game are available to pre-order now for the PS5 as are digital versions of the game on PC, Nintendo Switch pre-orders will be arriving soon.

Look out for HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT arriving this July.
