Nightmares of Millenis DLC arrives for dark fantasy deckbuilder Knock on the Coffin Lid

April 5, 2025 by Andrew Newton

RedBoon has announced the arrival of the Nightmares of Millenis DLC for their narrative-driven roguelike deckbuilder Knock on the Coffin Lid. This new major DLC (available now on Steam with a 10% launch discount) brings new storylines, new challenges and objectives and a whole load of new cards.  Watch the new trailer below to see more of what’s new in this update…

In the main game, the player’s character awakes from death with no memory of what’s happened. His story follows the search to uncover the truth of his fate.  Now, with this brand-new DLC, new storylines arrive that deepen the backstories of key characters and factions, and introduces fresh quests and novel plot quests.

Players may also notice the addition of new variants for older events in the form of new challenges, objectives and rewards. This should encourage players to revisit these for a new experience and new rewards.  Those attempting these new challenges will find there are more allies that can be recruited, each with their own abilities, storylines and fresh tactical opportunities.

The Nightmares of Millenis DLC brings with it over 50 new cards and items that can be gained from challenges. There are also 21 Tarot Cards which introduce new gameplay modifiers and challenges, and allow players to customise their difficulty and strategy.

Alongside new challenges, players will also have the opportunities to visit two new, completely unique dungeons.  Both of these dungeons have their own distinct visual style, a variety of different enemies, puzzles and unique rewards.

Last but by no means least, the DLC brings Daily Runs and Leaderboards. Players can compete with others and track their rank against that of their friends.

Nightmares of Millenis DLC is available now on Steam. For a limited time, this new DLC comes with a generous 10% discount.
