Midnight Special trailer teases Clock Tower-inspired survival horror

May 3, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Scared Stupid Inc. and publisher Yahaha Games have announced their chilling point-and-click survival horror game Midnight Special will launch on early access on Steam on 8th May. Inspired by the classic Clock Tower series, Midnight Special blends 90s horror gaming with a mix of Italian Giallo cinema, classic slasher films and 70s and 80s sci-fi horror.  Watch the new early access launch trailer below…

In Midnight Special, players take the role of Sarah, a young girl hired as a babysitter for two children at the eerie Boyd Manor. When a power-cut suddenly casts the house in darkness, a series of supernatural events begins. Soon, Sarah is bombarded with strange phonecalls, unpleasant odours from the floorboards and the actions of a toy plastic dinosaur that seems to be alive.

As reality begins to blur for Sarah, players will need to evade deadly pursuits from a mysterious and relentless killer, solve numerous, deviously designed puzzles using the point-and-click mechanic and uncover the sinister, dark truth behind the manor.

Midnight Special features:

  • Retro-inspired point-and-click gameplay with a modern touch.
  • A killer reminiscent of those from Italian horror and sci-fi mythos.
  • A haunting synth soundtrack.
  • Puzzle-solving and survival.
  • A story filled with secrets and gruesome discoveries.

Head on over to Steam now and add Midnight Special to your wishlist.
