Soviet-era Antarctic horrors await in trailer for NEDRA

May 28, 2025 by Andrew Newton

The Antarctic is a dangerous place if you’re not properly prepared, but in NEDRA by solo developer Davit Andreasyan it’s dangerous even if you are. NEDRA is a first-person survival horror game coming to Steam on 23rd June and takes players to the Soviet Red Star Antarctic research base, where eldritch horrors and the brutal cold are equally deadly. Watch the new announcement trailer below…

Players take the role of Artur Arayan, a Soviet mechanic from the Red Star research base. When an SOS signal sounds, staff from the research base set out on a mission into the white abyss. When the mission suffers a horrific accident, Artur finds himself alone, wounded and vulnerable in possibly the most unforgiving environment on Earth. His only hope is reaching the source of the distress signal, the hidden research station known as Aurora.

Getting Artur to the safety of Aurora will not be easy as there are things lurking in the blizzard that have a taste for warm flesh, and Artur is no soldier.  The creatures are drawn to his warmth like moths to a flame and players will have to use every ounce of cunning to survive by manipulating Artur’s temperature and walking that fine line between survival and dying of hypothermia.

NEDRA promises to draw players in through an intricate narrative where progression through the story answers some questions but asks many more. Eventually, players will uncover enough secrets where they will be forced to make a choice that will test their resolve.

Look out for NEDRA arriving on Steam on 23rd June.
