Street Fighter casts David Dastmalchian as M. Bison and Cody Rhodes as Guile

July 4, 2025 by Gary Collinson

As Legendary continues to assemble the roster of its Street Fighter movie, Deadline is reporting that David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil, The Life of Chuck) has signed on to play the final boss, the leader of the Shadaloo organisation, M. Bison, while WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes will follow his upcoming cameo in The Naked Gun by portraying USAF pilot Guile.

Debuting as the main villain of Capcom’s iconic 1991 beat ’em up Street Fighter II, Bison was memorably portrayed by Raul Julia in 1994’s Street Fighter movie, which was led by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the role of Guile. Bison was subsequently portrayed by Neal McDonough in the 2009 film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

The new Street Fighter sees Dastmalchian and Rhodes joining a rather eclectic cast that includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Roman Reigns as Akuma and Andrew Schul as Dan Hibiki.

Street Fighter is being directed by Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) is set for release on March 20th 2026. Let us know your thoughts on how the cast is coming together over on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
