Pedro Pascal’s Joel gets the Hot Toys treatment with The Last of Us sixth scale figure

July 13, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Hot Toys has unveiled the sixth scale Joel Miller figure which is inspired by the likeness of Pedro Pascal in HBO’s hit video game adaptation The Last of Us. The collectible is available to pre-order now, priced at $285; check it out here…

Joel Miller made his debut in the 2013 video game The Last of Us. Joel is a hardened father forced into ruthless survival mode after losing his daughter during the outbreak. His journey is marked by grief, violence, and reluctant hope. In the award-winning HBO Original series, The Last of Us, a TV adaptation of the original game, Pedro Pascal brings this complex character to life by capturing Joel’s gruff exterior and the emotional scars he carries beneath. Set in a post-apocalyptic America overrun by the infected, Joel is tasked with smuggling a young girl, Ellie, across the country — a mission that challenges his moral code and resurrects his capacity for care amid loss.

Sideshow and Hot Toys proudly present the 1/6th scale Joel Miller Collectible Figure, faithfully replicating Pedro Pascal’s portrayal in the hit HBO Original series. The figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs, allowing for a calm yet weathered expression that reflects Joel’s weariness and emotional depth. Outfitted in his signature layered look, which includes a waxed jacket, denim shirt, jeans, shoes, and a belt equipped with a knife sheath and a pistol holster, Joel is well-prepared for survival. His weapons include a combat knife, a revolver, and a highly detailed assault rifle with a removable magazine, retractable stock, and rear sight. With seven interchangeable hands, including fists, relaxed hands, and weapon-holding hands, Joel is ready to face whatever awaits him in this harsh new world. Additional accessories include a duct-taped backpack, a flashlight, and the watch he wears at all times — an emotionally significant keepsake gifted by his daughter, Sarah Miller.

After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The Last of Us season two sees Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return as Joel and Ellie alongside Diego Luna as Tommy. Newcomers include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.
