Psychological thriller Unmoored unveils trailer and poster

July 21, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Bull Distribution has shared a poster and trailer for director Caroline Ingvarsson’s psychological thriller Unmoored.

Based on Håkan Nesser’s novel The Living and the Dead in Winsford, the film follows Swedish TV presenter Maria as she finds her life unravelling and flees to the English moors for a fresh start after confronting her husband over accusations made against him.

The cast includes Mirja Turestedt, Thomas W. Gabrielsson, Kris Hitchen, and Anna Próchniak. Check out the trailer below…

Maria is a successful Swedish TV presenter whose life is turned upside down by shocking accusations made against her husband. To avoid the media attention, they head south on sabbatical. However, an unexpected confrontation triggers a desperate chain of events.

Alone, Maria flees to the solitude of the English moors, but her new idyll soon turns to paranoia. As her guilt grows, she is forced to examine the depths of her own self-deception.

Unmoored arrives in cinemas on August 15th.
