Doctor Who spinoff Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity launching this September

July 23, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Big Finish has released details for a brand new Doctor Who spinoff audio drama series, Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity, coming this September.  Starring Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summers, this new series will have the Daleks coming up with a new plan that threatens the galaxy, and only the 27th century archeologist can help.

Professor Bernice Summerfield, Benny to her friends, must defend the galaxy from the merciless Daleks of Skaro in an epic adventure told over four full-cast audio drama releases, each including two half-hour episodes.

In part one of The Dalek Eternity, coming this September, listeners will enjoy The Lonely Bomb by James Goss. This part of the adventure finds the Daleks invading the Eternity Club, while Bernice Summerfield flees in a retired TARDIS. With the Daleks about to get their hands on the biggest weapons store in the galaxy, can Bernice stop them? The second story, Satrap by Felicia Barker, the Eternity Club is under Dalek occupation, but is one of the members working against them?

October’s The Dalek Eternity part 2 will contain The Winner’s Tale by Alex Hewitt, which tells the tale of a Sontaran and a Draconian stopping an endless war. It also has Bernice attempting to find the last survivor of a Dalek invasion. It also features the story Oversoul by Melissa F Olson that sees Bernice arrive on an idyllic world of crystal seas with the warning that the Daleks are coming.

The Dalek Eternity part 3, due for release in November, features Quisling by Sophia McDougall and We Don’t Talk About Mavic Chen by Tim Foley. In the former, Bernice helps some survivors rebel against the Daleks, while the latter tells the tale of the greatest traitor in the galaxy.

Finally, in The Dalek Eternity part 4, coming in December, Bernice Summerfield is running out of time as the true leader of the Daleks is revealed (Vizier by Patrick O’Connor). In Emperor by Ash Darby, the Dalek army grows, civilisations collapse, and the galaxy is burning.

Alongside Lisa Bowerman is Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks, Dan Starkey as Starrl, Niamh Cusack as the mysterious Oldest, Siena Kelly, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, and Bethany Antonia.

Listeners can purchase each two-episode release of The Eternity Club for £8.99 for the download or £10.99 for the download and collector’s edition CD.  The complete series is also able to be pre-ordered for £32 for the download or £40 for the downloads and collector’s edition CD box sets.
