Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the feature film spinning out of the hit Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian and Grogu comes after the third season of The Mandalorian which saw bounty hunter Din Djarin and his foundling Grogu reunited after helping Mandalorian rebels and his Children of the Watch clan retake their home planet of Mandalore from remnant Imperial forces.
Directed by Jon Favreau from a script by him and Dave Filoni, the film will see Djarin and Grogu recruited to help the New Republic on a mission against the Empire as they try to regain their former strength. It will also see sci-fi favourite Sigourney Weaver joining the galaxy far, far away as a New Republic pilot who helps Djarin on his new mission.
The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.
The Mandalorian and Grogu features Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, Jonny Coyne, and Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt.
The Mandalorian and Grogu will fly into theatres on May 22, 2026.
