Frankie Muniz shares photo of brothers reunited on the set of Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair

Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz shared a photo of him and his co-stars from the set of the series’ revival, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair.

The revival will see Malcolm and his brothers reunite for their parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. Muniz joked that he wasn’t supposed to share the photo of himself, Justin Berfield and Christopher Masterson, who play Malcolm’s older brothers Reese and Francis respectively, but remembered the show’s theme song that sings “you’re not the boss of me now.”

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will see Bryan Crantson and Jane Kaczmarek reprise their iconic roles as Hal and Lois. The only original star not returning is Erik Per Sullivan, who played the youngest brother in the family Dewey. Sullivan has retired from acting and in his place will be Caleb Ellsworth-Clark (The Thicket) as Dewey.

Newcomers to Malcolm will be Keeley Karsten as Malcolm;s daughter Leah, Kiana Madeira as his girlfriend Tristan and Vaugh Murrae as his youngest brother Kelly. Also returning from the original series will be Craig Lamar Traylor as Stevie Kenarban, David Anthony Higgins as Craig Feldspar and Gary Anthony Williams as Abe Kenarban.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will consist of for four 30-minute episodes directed by Ken Kwapis directing. Original series creator Linwood Boomer returns as writer and executive producer with Cranston, Kwapis, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann executive producing.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will feature Malcolm (Muniz) and his daughter (Keeley Karsten) as they are drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair will premiere in 2026.
