Puzzle & Dragons has a kaiju problem with new Kaiju No. 8 collaboration

Monsters are on the loose in GungHo Online Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons as the hit anime Kaiju No. 8 arrives today in the latest collaboration. Until 30th November, players will be able to enlist in the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defence Force, team up with the series’ officers and take on the many kaiju in limited-time dungeons. 

The Japan Anti-Kaiju Defence Force is humanity’s last line of defence, and players will need to strengthen their team by using Magic Stones to recruit powerful characters from the Kaiju No. 8 universe, including Kafka Hibino, Reno Ichikawa, and Gen Narumi. Players will also be able to log in for daily rewards, and those who log in for a total of 10 days can earn two pulls from the Kaiju No. 8 Egg Machine.

Players can take on seven colossal, collab-exclusive dungeons that will provide rewards and additional goodies for Puzzle & Dragons Pass holders. These dungeons include:

  • Kaiju No. 8 Quest – players can complete Quest missions to earn up to 10 Magic Stones as Quest Level Rewards and other Quest Rewards.
  • Kaiju No. 8-Novice / Kaiju No. 8-Expert – clear floors to earn Kaiju No. 8 Collab Medals that can be exchanged in the Monster Exchange.
  • Kaiju No. 8-Novice – complete all floors to get Kafka Hibino & Reno Ichikawa, or get a billion coins for each floor cleared as missions.
  • Kaiju No. 8-Expert – available from 19th November, complete all floors to earn Kaiju No. 8 Egg Machine and 50,000MP for each floor cleared as missions.
  • Identified Kaiju, Kaiju No. 9 Descended! – defeat this epic dungeon boss for a guaranteed drop of Identified Kaiju, Kaiju No. 9 plus other rewards. This can be completed solo or 3-player multiplayer.
  • [Third Division] Title Challenge! – clear the dungeon in the time allowed, with a fixed Team to earn the [Third Division] title and other rewards including Collab Medals.
  • Kaiju No. 8 Colosseum! – When using a Kaiju No. 8 character as leader get a boosted 100% drop rate, and 100,000 MP and more as rewards.

Kaiju No. 8 Collab Medals can be exchanged at the Monster Exchange for exclusive characters such as Bakko. Players can also recruit the legendary Defence Force commander, Isao Shinomiya, from the MP Shop. When getting him for the first time, it enhances the Collab Enhancement [Kaiju No. 8] badge to Collab Enhancement+ [Kaiju No. 8]. Magic Stones can also be used to purchase the exclusive Reno Ichikawa 4-PvP Icon.

There are also a number of premium bundles available for players to purchase. These include:

  • 30 Magic Stones & Isao Shinomiya Egg Machine.
  • 30 Magic Stones & Kafka & Reno Egg Machine.
  • 30 Magic Stones & Gen Narumi Egg Machine.
  • 20 Magic Stones & Kafka Hibino Egg Machine.
  • 20 Magic Stones & ★8+ Kaiju No. 8 Egg Machine.
  • 1 Magic Stone & Kaiju No. 8 Egg Machine.

Some of these will also provide additional items, such as MP or Collab Enhancements, so check the the game’s shop for more details.
