Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw gets a trailer from Disney+

November 14, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Disney+ has shared a poster and trailer for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, the fourth animated feature in the franchise which is based on the third instalment Jeff Kinney’s bestselling book series.

The comedy sees Greg at odds with his father, when fed up with his son’s behaviour, plans to a father and son trip to wilderness camp in an effort to straighten out his act.

Directed by Matt Danner and Gino Nichele,  the film features the voice talents of Aaron D. Harris as Greg Heffley; Chris Diamantopoulos as Greg’s dad, Frank; Erica Cerra as Greg’s mom, Susan; Hunter Dillon as Greg’s older brother, Roderick; Jude Zarzaur as Greg’s best friend, Rowley; Gracen Newton as Greg’s younger brother, Manny; Jill Basey as Greg’s neighbour, Mrs. Canfield; Bashir Salahuddin as the Heffley’s neighbor, Mr. Warren; and William Stanford Davis as Greg’s Boy Scout Troop Master Barrett.

Greg continually finds himself at odds with his dad’s outsized expectations. As pressure builds to turn his act around after a series of hilarious near disasters, Greg’s dad presents him with an ultimatum—and a trip to wilderness camp—that just might challenge Greg’s wimpy ways for good.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw arrives on Disney+ on December 5th.
